Mortar and Pestle are an amazing invention right? You can make a paste of ANYTHING you want with just these two things. It’s like you have your own bowl and your own spoon and put any ingredient into the bowl and with your spoon you break it. Isn’t it simple? Not only is the useful to make all sorts of paste you can also use it to actually make FOOD! Food that you can eat after you have used mortar and pestle. HOW COOL IS THAT?!!??! And let’s not forget you don’t need electricity to use it. IT DOESN’T RUN ON A SWITCH! What are the mortar and pestle recipes? This invention can help you to blend in different things together and to blend in different smells together to make something yummy. Let’s see different recipes that can be made with mortar and pestle:
  • You can make mortar and pestle BASIL PESTO!!!! The best way to make basil pesto is if you use mortar and pestle. Long before the inventions of different machines and food processors people were still eating pesto. HOW? With the help of mortar and pestle. Okay you basically need garlic around 3 cloves. You need around 2 to 3 cups of fresh basil. You need salt and pepper and then you need ½ cup of oil and some cheese too. Now its very easy to make. What you need to do is that you add the basil, garlic and the salt in the mortar and crush it with the pestle till it becomes a paste then you add the rest of the ingredients and with the help of the pestle you keep mixing it till its combined and becomes a paste. Whisk it in the oil and TADAAA you have your own amazing pesto.
  • With the help of mortar and pestle you can also make GUACAMOLE!! YUMMMMMMM. Again extremely easy to make. Mix all the ingredients into the mortar and pestle and you get yourself something yummy in your mouth.
  • You can make Olive tapenade!! This is one of the most famous dishes in france since olive is the main ingredient. Again easy to make. All you need are around 1 cup of Kalamata olives. You need around 2 tablespoons of capers. You need garlic and olive oil and then pepper if you want spicy taste. Now how you do use mortar and pestle to make this. IT’S VERY SIMPLE! Just mix the olives and garlic and capers in the mortar and pestle. Mix it until it becomes into a paste then fry it in olive oil and there you have it! Your own Olive tapenade.
  • You can make your own TACOS as well. HOW COOL IS THAT! You just need to put ALL the ingredients into the mortar and stir them with the pestle and you got yourself your tacos. The ingredients include chilli powder, sea salt, black peppercorns, you need roasted cumin seeds. You need to have garlic and onion powder as well.
So go to the kitchen take your mortar and pestle out AND START COOKING!!!!!! Give your tummy something yummy to eat!
